Tonight’s Development Committee

07/06/2016

In front of us tonight was the detailed planning permission for Hall Road development in Rochford. Reading the officers report there were some positive aspects such as the number of affordable houses on this development. The overall design is okay but could be better if more parking for vehicles had been in the plans. By […]

District Council Committees

20/05/2016

When you become an elected member of the council, your party is allocated a number of seats on different committees. I’ve been ‘lucky’ enough to have been asked which committees I had a preference to. I’ve chosen development, licensing and investment.  Why did I chose these particular committees? 14/04/2016

Earlier this week, I told members of the Rayleigh Action Group that the Grange Pharmacy was under threat from government cutbacks. 300 customers have signed their petition against closure, but they still need residents to come forward and sign their petition. Today’s Echo reports on the story.

Our survey says…

13/04/2016

I asked members of local Facebook groups a few questions about local issues and their views on whether local Councillors do a good job at representing them. Here’s the results – the sample size is 96 people. Any duplicate surveys were removed.
