I’m going to be a bit nimbyish here, as the Council are about to embark on a review of car parks in our District.
So my question to you is – “Do our car parks in Rayleigh meet the requirements of the community?”
Let me know what you think!

re: parking. Why do we have to pay for parking until 7.00 p.m. at night when the majority of shops close at or before 6.00 p.m. I bowl at the Rayleigh Bowls Club where evening matches start at 6.00 p.m which means that we have to arrive and park at around 5.30 p.m. It ‘s fair and reasonable that we should pay to park until 6.00 p.m. but by that time the car park is fairly empty and it seems unfair that the only people using the car park are bowlers who have to pay for an extra hour to park in what is an almost empty car park. Most of the bowlers are pensioners and would appreciate having to pay less for parking if the cut-off point became 6.00 p.m instead of 7.00 p.m.
