Residents across the district will soon benefit from more investment by the joint administration as two new skateparks have been approved for installation. At last night’s meeting of the executive, members approved the award of contracts worth £300k for the installation of skateparks in Rayleigh and Hullbridge. Although the decision had been made back in 2018 for a ‘play space improvement programme’, very little had happened to progress investment with the previous Conservative administration in charge. Just four months into our leadership of the Council and this is another project we’ve expedited as the joint administration. Rayleigh’s new skatepark will be installed near Rayleigh Leisure Centre replacing the current skatepark which is nearing its end of life.
