Problem Parked With A Fine Result

November 18, 2019 in News

Following on from my recent post about the car park problems at Rayleigh train station, I'm pleased to report that NCP has now decided to cancel and refund the PCN's.

Following reports from a local resident, I contacted NCP on behalf of residents who had received fines whilst visiting the car wash or had been dropping off and others who NCP had incorrectly said had parked overnight. NCP launched an urgent investigation into the matter and hopefully, this will be the last of the issues with the new cameras.

The Echo newspaper reports that

All tickets handed out between July 1 and October 13 will be cancelled or refunded.

Thanks to the Echo for running this story which helped publicise and bring more residents forward and build a stronger evidence base to put forward to NCP to fight our case. In fairness, despite their error, NCP has brought the matter to a swift resolution.

Live images being monitored

Unfortunately, it just didn’t happen. This isn’t the first time and I’m sure it’s not the last. I can understand local businesses telling me that they lack
