Due to concern from residents about the sale of alcohol to underage persons, I contacted our licencing team at Rochford District to ask them, along with trading standards, to carry out test purchases across our District.
I have now received a response from the licencing team and I hope residents will feel reassured with their findings.
Good morning Myself, Essex Police and Trading Standards carried out enforcement on Friday Night Premier The Chase and Nisa Eastwood Road were test purchased with under 18 sales and both passed.We also carried out compliance checks on 8 licensed premises apart from 2 minor issues that have now been rectified they were all compliant with the licensing requirements.
