Accessibility To Public Services for Everyone

The accessibility regulations aim to help make sure online public services are accessible to all users, including disabled people.

Rayleigh Town Council's website doesn't comply with the new legislation

So I've written to Rayleigh Town Council today to check that they are complying with the regulations as I am a firm believer that all information held in the public realm should be available to all.

At this moment in time they are unable to tell me if they comply (I suspect they don't) and they wouldn't be unique as we've struggled also to get Rochford District Council to understand the importance of ensuring information is accessible to everyone. Unfortuantely it doesn't appear to have yet hit home.

I'll update this post once I have further news on this important issue.
