April 8, 2016 in Local Issues

Bad parking can be a real issue in our already congested town. Local hotspots for bad parking in our area extend from
  • Tesco's Express on London Road
  • Outside local schools and in roads adjacent
  • In close proximity to the railway station
It seems a never ending list of the odd few leaving their cars in the place where car's really shouldn't be left. The problem can really intensify at peak times, and I've witness a few occasions car's being damaged in the Tesco Express car park due to sheer overcrowding and inconsiderate parking. I'd like to see more regular patrols by parking enforcement in our area to send a clear message that we need to think a little bit more about where and how we park our cars.
