Locality Funding Update In Rayleigh North With Rayleigh 5th Scout Group

March 19, 2023 in Essex County Council

Here's an update on the 'Locality Funding' nominations' for Rayleigh North

This week I lucky to be invited along to Rayleigh 5th Scout group to help out with their new planters that have been funded through my nomination of Essex CC locality funding.

It was really good to get stuck in with the cubs and help shift the soil and get the planters prepped before planting out. All the cubs were really enthusatic about the whole thing even in the rain.

Like my own experience when I was a cub and scout member many years ago, I hope it gives them more great memories and another valuable skill to the collection besides giving an important ecological benefit to our nature - I'm sure the bees and other insects will enjoy!
