Residents often ask what issues I report to Essex Highways and how long they take to address them. Below is a full update on all the repairs I have logged so far, along with their current status. This includes everything from potholes and broken pavements to carriageway resurfacing.
Awaiting Inspection
These reports have been submitted and are waiting for Essex Highways to assess the problem.

- Downhall Park Way, Rayleigh (multiple reports) – Refs 2998408, 2961689
- Wellington Road, Rayleigh – Refs 2998290, 2998292
- Nelson Road, Rayleigh – Refs 2998288, 2998291
- Bridleway 80, Rayleigh – Ref 2998287
These sites are still waiting for a highway inspector to visit and decide the next steps.
Jobs Raised (Scheduled for Repair)
Essex Highways has accepted these defects and raised work orders.

These works are in the system and should appear on Essex Highways’ forward programme.
Works in Progress
Active repair work is currently being carried out.

These repairs are already underway and are expected to be completed shortly.

- Industrial Estate Road, Rayleigh – Carriageway – Completed 9 May 2025
- Mortimer Road, Rayleigh – Carriageway – Completed 8 May 2025
- Durham Way, Rayleigh – Footway – Completed 8 May 2025
- Downhall Park Way, Rayleigh – Carriageway – Completed 29 Aug 2025
- Eastview Drive, Rayleigh – Footway – Completed 30 Jun 2025

In addition, vegetation works on London Road, Rawreth were completed by the landowner following enforcement action.
